A. Rest assured! You can seamlessly switch to an indoor studio shoot at no extra charge.

The highlight of this plan is our outdoor location shoot, set against the backdrop of an authentic Japanese shrine. Our professional photographer skillfully captures precious moments—whether your child is walking through the shrine grounds or offering a quiet prayer.

However, when traveling with a tight schedule, bad weather is always a concern. To give you total peace of mind, Sankei Studio offers a weather guarantee: if conditions are poor, you can easily transition to a comfortable indoor studio session. You can book with confidence knowing your valuable travel time won’t go to waste.

Q2. What is “Shichi-Go-San”? What kind of outfits are available?

A. It is a traditional Japanese custom celebrating children’s growth and health. Please note that height requirements apply for outfit fitting.

“Shichi-Go-San” (literally “Seven-Five-Three”) is a time-honored Japanese celebration where families express gratitude and pray for the health and happiness of children reaching the ages of 3, 5, and 7. Beyond its cultural significance, our studio welcomes all international guests to enjoy this as a memorable cultural experience during their journey through Japan.

[Important: Outfit Sizes & Target Heights] Traditional Japanese kimonos are tailored to match average body frames according to age. If a child’s height falls outside these measurements, fitting the costume properly may not be possible. Please measure your child’s height before reserving.

• Kimono for 3-Year-Olds: Height approx. 90 cm – 100 cm (Boys & Girls)

• Kimono for 5-Year-Olds: Height approx. 100 cm – 110 cm (Boys)

• Kimono for 7-Year-Olds: Height approx. 110 cm – 120 cm (Girls)
